Job Summary:

Under general supervision, this role involves developing engineering changes and detailed drawings for complex equipment with minimal direction. You will apply sound engineering principles to create innovative and functional design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  Create CAD models and detailed part drawings for complex equipment.

  
  
• 
  

  Prepare design layouts and schematics from sketches or basic instructions, using independent design judgment.

  
  
• 
  

  Maintain and create product structures in Product Data Management (PDM) systems.

  
  
• 
  

  Ensure drafting quality and accuracy in design documentation.

  
  
• 
  

  Review and check drawings prepared by other team members.

  
  
• 
  

  Perform tolerance analyses to ensure functionality and proper fit of components.

  
  
• 
  

  Apply knowledge of materials, manufacturing, and production processes to optimize designs.

  
  
• 
  

  Integrate reliability, HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment), and Quality standards throughout the design process.

  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 
  

  Proficiency in CAD modeling and drafting best practices.

  
  
• 
  

  Strong understanding of tolerance requirements and fit/function design.

  
  
• 
  

  Familiarity with engineering change processes and documentation control.

  
  
• 
  

  Knowledge of manufacturing and maintenance best practices.

  
  
• 
  

  Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

  
  

Education & Experience:

• 
  

  Associate degree in Drafting or a related field with 7+ years of relevant experience
  
  OR

  
  
• 
  

  9+ years of hands-on drafting/design experience in lieu of a formal degree.
