Part of Dover Corporation's Engineered Systems segment, Vehicle Service Group (VSG) is a strong, diverse and dynamic global leader in the vehicle service industry. VSG comprises 13 major vehicle lifting, wheel service, diagnostic and collision repair brands: Rotary Lift, Chief, Forward, Direct-Lift, Ravaglioli, Hanmecson, Revolution, Elektron, Blitz, Nogra, Butler, Space and Sirio.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  1. Inputs data and maintains Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
  3. Responsible for general administrative duties in the Maintenance office.
  4. Maintains order tracking.
  5. Responsible for the site's proactive maintenance program.
  6. Enters required requisitions in Oracle and tracks to meet deadlines.
  7. Works collaboratively with maintenance supervisors & team on priorities, planning maintenance tasks, work requirements, and scheduling.
  8. Schedules equipment maintenance with the operations team.
  9. Ensures all parts are available to upcoming maintenance projects.
  10. Assists in scheduling outside contractors with the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor
  11. Manages resources (parts and labor) within metrics such as budgeted amounts, time deadlines, etc.
  12. Tracks maintenance metrics, maintains KPI boards such as PM achievement and completes work orders, Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and other relevant indicators.
  13. Collects and reports downtime data to support continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
  14. Develops, maintains, and continuously improves the preventive maintenance program
  15. Schedules all planned maintenance activity.
  16. Maintains, logs, and distributes TPM work order system.
  17. Maintains and administers forklift electronic access control system.
  18. Other duties as assigned.

  5. Continual Improvement and Problem Resolution: Identifies and communicates suggestions for work improvements. Uses technical/analytical abilities to assure existing work practices are the most efficient and cost effective possible. Performs root-cause analysis and implements viable, permanent solutions to problems. Works with both internal and external customers to develop solutions which meet company-wide needs and objectives. Applies a sense of urgency to resolve problems or create opportunities that will increase productivity and create value. Shares best practices with other employees across the business.
  6. Accountability: Accepts responsibility and accountability for both the strategic planning and the successful implementation of all projects/programs/duties as outlined in this job description. Advises supervisor of concerns, problems and progress of work in a timely manner. Demonstrates a sound balance between quality and quantity of work while maintaining a sense of urgency toward completion. Deadlines are met.
  7. Maintenance Log: Update necessary logs and check sheets to insure preventive maintenance files are accurate and OSHA requirements are met.
  8. Training: Willingness to upgrade electrical/mechanical skill set both on and off the job.

CONTACTS (Internal and External):

Interacts extensively with all manufacturing personnel, with other functional areas within the Business Unit, and external vendors.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Associate Degree in a technical field with1 - 3 years of maintenance scheduling / planning experience Preferred.

A high level of analytical ability is required to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Spare parts management experience, ideally with operational CMMS inventory system. Working knowledge of Maintenance repair procedures related to evaluation of MRO components to determine the most economical means of repair or replacement. Strong electrical, mechanical and problem-solving skills. Must be proficient with computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.

Excellent verbal and written skills required. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and present information to suppliers, management, employees, and co-workers.

Experience: Must be able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic and mechanical schematics and apply them to repair equipment and to order necessary parts. Must be able to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, PLC, and relay logic controls.

Supervision: Reports to Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Manager for job assignments and instructions. Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibility: Exercises High degree of judgment. Questionable matters referred to the Maintenance Manager for assistance.
