WSECU is looking for a self-driven Senior Product Owner focused on representing the voice of both the member and employee to execute WSECU's digital vision. You'll continuously work with stakeholders to define and prioritize the product backlog and roadmap for WSECU, to ensure alignment with member, employee and program needs to maximize business value. You'll be a key member with significant effort invested in working collaboratively with both internal and external partners to fulfill the Credit Union's digital strategy. - Developing and maintaining product roadmaps
- Monitoring product measurements for insight into performance of product, recommending product enhancements based on findings
- Managing and maintaining product backlogs in alignment with organizational goals
- Aligning roadmaps to business priorities and product vision
- Leading Product Owner standards review with overall Agile Program Plan
- Leading practice of setting standards for Roadmaps across all Product Owner teams
- Communicating the delivery cost and ROI of Product features delivered
- Ensuring product features are delivered with quality and meeting the members needs
- Partnering with Member Experience to ensure product journey is clearly documented with current and new expectations including user interfaces when available to stories
- Staying up to date on relevant industry and agile trends, best practices and constantly exchanging ideas
- Modeling projections for goals and methods to track advancement towards meeting those goals
- Making recommendations based on research, best practices, needs analysis and professional expertise (digital efforts and departmental goals)
- Mentoring Product Owner I and II in alignment with the Agile Program organizational principles
- Providing areas of insight to the Product Owner I and II around cost analysis for product and feature development
- Ensuring Product Owners methodologies are aligned
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology or a closely related field or additional experience in related field may substitute year-for-year for education
- Minimum of Seven (7) years of experience as a Product Owner or equivalent leading delivery teams in an agile working environment
- Scrum Alliance Certified and/or PMI-ACP
- Strong research and recommendation skills
- Ability to self-direct and identify business and customer needs/opportunities
- Actively overcoming barriers on your own and formulating solutions without supervision
- Ability to present solutions to leaders across WSECU organization
- Expert level of facilitation and communication skills
- Ability to facilitate team and stakeholder discussion through complex and difficult conversations
- Ability to respond quickly, flexibly, and positively to changing requirements within the Product Owner discipline
- Constantly applying your learn, develop, practice and support practices to yourself and changing discipline needs
- Ability to navigate coaching through mentorship and discipline leadership
- Ability to successfully communicate technical and industry-specific concepts and listen effectively and elicit feedback from others
- Excellent conceptual, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Digesting product performance measurements and making recommendations to iteratively solve key stakeholder problems
- Proficiency with technical writing, and experience delivering written and oral presentations to audiences at all levels
Bonus points if you have:
- Product Owner Certified
- Proficiency in project management methodologies
Competitive pay: $96,650.70 - $144,976.04 annually, dependent on relevant qualifications, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package
- The target starting pay for this position is $96,650.70- $120,813.37 annually, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant's pay history into account.
- The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position.
Where we're located: 330 Union Ave, Olympia WA. Employee must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington. This is a hybrid position that blends working in-office and from home. Works onsite two (2) occasions per week. When you'd work: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm, full time minimum 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility to meet service needs for this exempt position. Working from home/hybrid requirements:
