https://globalcampus.uark.edu/index.php Summary of Job Duties:Create online/blended courses (both credit and non-credit) in partnership with a rapidly growing team dedicated to innovation, creativity, and lifelong learning. Support the development and revision of courses, programs, and training materials for innovative and technology-assisted course delivery options at the R-1 flagship University of Arkansas. Collaborate on workforce development projects alongside subject matter experts and workforce development coordinators in a thriving area that is home to a wide range of businesses and some of the world's largest corporations.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, instructional design and process management, faculty/SME consultation and support, ongoing course evaluation and revision, course and program alignment, quality assurance, and other related responsibilities. This position reports to the Instructional Design Manager.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. This is not a remote position. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in educational technology, instructional design, or a related education field from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least two years of experience as an Instructional Designer in higher education, workforce, or military setting

  • Hands-on experience designing and building projects/training/courses within a Learning Management System for online delivery (preferably Blackboard)

  • Experience with applying ADA guidelines and accessibility best practices in digital content creation and communication

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Instructional design experience includes certificate programs, CEUs, micro-credentials, and other types of alternative development models

  • Experience with using Universal Design for Learning principles

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge in applying the Quality Matters rubric or other quality assurance rubrics to project developments
  • Knowledge of project management and performance consulting
  • Extensive knowledge of online course/training development
  • In-depth knowledge of current educational and distance learning technologies and best practices
  • In-depth knowledge of adult learning theories
  • Familiarity with Open Educational Resources (OER)
  • Knowledge and experience with intermediate HTML and troubleshooting
  • Teaching or training experience/knowledge in a formal setting, such as, but not limited to, higher education, corporate, or non-profit
  • Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze and integrate evolving post-secondary education trends in instructional design and educational technology
  • Ability to communicate in a professional and respectful manner with people from different backgrounds and expertise
  • Ability to embrace change and adapt to new technology
  • Ability to provide faculty support and training
  • Ability to provide ongoing project evaluation and support
