Primary Purpose of Department
The Office of OneIT provides highly reliable information technology infrastructure, tools, and services to empower the University to achieve its academic, research, administrative, and service goals.
Primary Purpose of Position
This position supports the implementation and maintenance of the Salesforce CRM by assisting with data entry, documentation, and troubleshooting.
Summary of Position Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and customizing Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and declarative tools like Flows and Process Builder.
  • Translate functional requirements from higher education stakeholders into scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Support the development and maintenance of integrations between Salesforce and other campus systems.
  • Participate in testing, documentation, and deployment of new features and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve student and staff experiences through CRM innovation

Minimum Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of professional experience working in a higher education environment (e.g., registrar's office, admissions, student affairs, academic departments).

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in learning Salesforce development and CRM best practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Exposure to Salesforce through coursework, internships, or self-study.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Education Cloud or CRM systems in higher education.
  • Experience with data management, reporting, or student lifecycle processes.

Necessary Certifications/Licenses
Preferred Certifications/Licenses
Salesforce Administrator or Platform Developer I certification.
