Responsibilities

The Residential Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the assigned campus or residence within the Newport program. This role ensures that all activities align with Newport Healthcare's values and standards while fostering a safe and supportive environment for both clients and staff. The Residential Manager will lead the Residential Supervisors, innovate operational systems, and ensure the effective implementation of individualized care plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Supervision and Leadership:

    • Manage and mentor Residential Supervisors, providing weekly feedback, coaching, and training to enhance their performance.
    • Delegate responsibilities effectively to ensure smooth operations across shifts and provide support for complex employee-related issues.
  2. Collaboration with Clinical Team:

    • Act as a liaison between the Residential Supervisors and the clinical team to ensure cohesive communication and care delivery.
    • Share updates and plans regarding individualized client care during daily Flash meetings.
  3. Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure adherence to all Newport Healthcare values and standards at all locations.
    • Utilize reports and observations to monitor compliance with safety protocols and address any issues promptly.
  4. Staff Management:

    • Create and manage staffing schedules, address scheduling conflicts, and approve payroll and PTO requests for Residential Supervisors.
    • Conduct performance evaluations for Residential Supervisors to foster professional development.
  5. Training and Orientation:

    • Present at new hire orientations and conduct training sessions for Residential Supervisors and direct care staff.
    • Provide ongoing training using resources from the Newport library and review progress monthly with employees.
  6. Recruitment and Hiring:

    • Collaborate with HR to interview and select new employees, coordinating interview schedules and documentation while updating the applicant tracking system.
  7. Interdepartmental Communication:

    • Serve as a communication liaison with other departments, including HR and Compliance, to ensure alignment and address any operational needs.
  8. Preparation for Regulatory Visits:

    • Assist the Residential Director in preparing for CCL visits and tours, ensuring all necessary documentation and protocols are in place.
  9. Crisis Management:

    • Actively manage the floor during escalation or crisis situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
  10. Resident Intake and Consent:

    • Oversee the intake process for new residents, ensuring all consents and documentation are completed accurately.
  11. Additional Duties:

    • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Residential Director to support the overall mission of Newport Healthcare.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, counseling, psychology, or social work preferred or working towards the same OR
  • State approved credential OR
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working with adolescents/young adults and families with co-occurring disorders.
  • Two (2) years' experience in a supervisory or management role preferred.
  • The minimum age is 18 years old as a requirement for employment.
  • Health Screening, TB Clearance, valid CPR and Criminal Record Clearance are required prior to employment.

Compensation for this role ranges from $75,000.00-$85,644.00 annually depending on education and experience.
