The Principal Enterprise Analyst is responsible for understanding/documenting business requirements across various functional areas such Professional Service, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Accounting teams.

This role serves as the lead analyst on medium to complex projects. The Principal Enterprise Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions meet business requirements and align with the strategic goals of the organization. This position requires a deep understanding of Data & Analytics principles, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Key responsibilities include driving innovation, improving software quality, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS -

  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization (technical and business)
  • 7+ years' experience in business analysis and gathering requirements in Data Analytics/Business Intelligence
  • 7+ years' experience in dashboarding through Power BI or any other equivalent tools
  • 7+ years' experience building quality reports and visualizations with basic knowledge of database design and data modeling
  • 7+ years' SQL experience to facilitate data profiling and understanding
  • 7+ years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS
  • 7+ years'/comprehensive knowledge of source and destination data mapping, ETL definition, data-oriented business rule definition
  • 7+ years' experience translating requirements into test scripts
  • Good proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar project management tool and project management skills
  • Highly self-motivated, directed, ability to work independently and be results-driven
  • 5+ years' experience with Business Process Management to include building and documenting business process flows using MS Visio or similar diagraming software
  • 5+ years' experience with IT ticketing software (ServiceNow, JIRA)
  • 3+ years' experience using Jira, Bitbucket and Confluence agile toolsets or similar
  • 5+ years' experience working with small, geographically distributed teams
  • 5+ years' experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to be flexible while delivering assignments with understanding that deliverables may change based on business needs
  • 3+ years' experience in both agile and waterfall software delivery methodologies
  • 2+ years' experience leading/mentoring more junior staff members

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS -

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience

Principal Duties and Responsibilities -

  • Operate with a "total service" mindset; in all interactions - for both the process and technical health of the application portfolio managed by the team
  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define/document business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems and process issues
  • High degree of understanding of most dependencies, interfaces, and services required by assigned components and other related areas of the system
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment, including estimating and planning own and other peoples' work
  • Lead requirements sessions in prototyping new systems and features to enhance business processes, operations, and information process flow
  • Ability to influence and negotiate agreement on scope and schedule with business partners
  • Provide thought leadership on how to enhance our systems to make our users more effective
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address business challenges
  • Create process flows, requirement specifications/story definitions, diagrams, and charts to provide as input direction to software engineers
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support
  • Coordinate, support, and conduct orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems, as needed, in a way they can easily learn and apply
  • Partner with internal business constituents to facilitate, implement, and support processes and controls that increase overall efficiencies and decrease applicable risks to the enterprise
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer within the team and beyond
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to a small to large group of enterprise analysts
  • Major participant in demand and planning (including roadmap) management conversations with assigned business partners around their needs for ETS related services
  • Assist (sometimes lead) in organizing, planning, and managing projects ensuring all related SDLC activities are executed with quality and within schedule
