People * Customers * Trust RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate logistics to lead the fast-paced shipping department in meeting daily customer demands by fulfilling orders on time and providing outstanding service on shipping options for the customer. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner, follow prescribed safety regulations, and demonstrate a commitment to safety, process improvement, and housekeeping Understand and follow instructions on factory card, load plan and due date report. Understand and practice correct equipment operation. Operate wrapping equipment when necessary. Unload and loads stock on trucks - Pallet and Baled units. Responsible for shipping orders, forms, inventory tags and counts on materials received or shipped with attention to detail. Assist the Forklift Operators to balance the workload, organize warehouses, and perform general cleaning. Able to operate a forklift safely and efficiently. Ability to complete end of month inventory with accuracy. Position requires assisting all jobs in Shipping and Receiving department and plant production floor. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. 1+ years' experience as a Shipping Clerk for inbound and outbound shipments Candidates must possess advanced computer skills, and be extremely proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) with ability to learn PCA systems. Ability to become PCA certified to operate a Forklift. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy forklift traffic. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience in a packaging warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Fully proficient in all facets of warehouse operations including shipping, receiving and system administration. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to sit, stoop climb and bend.
