Job SummaryThe Import-Export Analyst will assist the Director of Research Security in the day-to-day operation and implementation of the Caltech import/export compliance program. The Analyst will serve as the point of contact for campus personnel and external clientele regarding issues that are subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the Office of Foreign Assets Control Regulations (OFAC), and U.S. Customs Regulations including the Harmonized Tariff Schedule. The Analyst will research and assist with commodity classifications, license determinations, and the submission of export licenses or other regulatory licenses, authorizations, or permits. Must be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision. Attention to detail is required. Essential Job DutiesSpecific duties of the Import-Export Analyst are as follows:
