Job Summary
The PDM Senior Field Project Engineer is responsible for coordination between the site Construction Team and Home Office Engineering for assigned project. The PDM Senior Field Project Engineer is the onsite technical contact providing interpretation of Engineering documents and drawings to facilitate the safe and timely construction and commissioning of our projects.
Travel is required for this role including extended assignments to job sites for project work.
Essential Functions
- Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values."

- Assist the Construction Team with the day-to-day interpretation of Engineering drawings, specifications and other technical documents.
- Communicate and transfer suggestions for improvement regarding field issues to Engineering to improve engineering deliverables for efficient fabrication, erection, installation.
- Participate in Constructability and Model Reviews.
- Documents and assists in the resolution of technical issues that arise at jobsites.
- Provides assistance and support as necessary to the Site Team development of RFIs to Engineering.
- Observes the work being performed and ensures installation is in accordance to Engineering documents.
- Observes the work being performed and coordinates with Engineering to address any deviations from the Engineering documents.
- Provides assistance for site receiving by performing receipt inspections. This includes coordination for the disposition of non-conformances with the Cognizant Engineers, Quality and Procurement.
- Facilitates Engineering review of Rigging Plans.
- Provides a support role for project redline drawings.
- Supports the Site Team with coordination of any Engineering inputs required for construction planning.
- Coordinates Engineer of Record visits including:
- Coordinate the dispositioning of EOR issues.
- Provides support to home office Engineering in support of current projects when not required in the field.
- Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's of Science in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline required.
- 6+ years of heavy industrial experience in field engineering, project engineering, or construction management required.
- Understanding of industrial construction processes, structures, and construction technologies.
- Demonstrated experience supporting LNG facilities.
- General understanding of all engineering disciplines.
- Ability to analyze problems, make technical decisions, and implement adequate solutions.
- Demonstrated experience following quality assurance and control procedures.
- Travel Requirements - Assignments will be field positions at construction sites throughout North America with periodic stints in an office.
- Physical Demands - Light physical effort required to sit or stand, reach, bend, and move about facility (including ladders and stairs).
