Job Summary: This individual must have great attention to detail as well as excellent communication skills. You will be working with all levels of management and employees so professionalism is key. We are looking for someone who has experience maintaining large equipment and troubleshooting issues with electrical components. You should also be able to diagnose problems quickly and efficiently while being safe. If you like working with your hands and solving complex problems this could be the career path for you! Responsibilities: * Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical systems * Work safely around energized equipment * Provide feedback to supervisor on equipment maintenance status * Participate in scheduled team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts * Maintain accurate records and logs * Follow standard operating procedures and area specific work instructions * Comply with safety regulations and policies * Other duties as assigned Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalent required * Ability to read blueprints and schematics * Experience with AC/DC low voltage wiring * Must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work above the floor * Excellent communication skills * Strong mechanical background preferred * Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) desired * Proficient computer skills At Sonoco Products Company, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package, including competitive pay and benefits.
