Department OverviewThe Cloud Platform Engineering team is responsible for the development and operations of critical cloud infrastructure, reliability, security and Business operational services, in support of Motorola Solutions' public and hybrid cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions for public safety customers. This team is part of Motorola Solutions' Software Enterprise division, which offers secure, reliable and efficient team communications, workflow and operational intelligence solutions for mission critical public safety and enterprise markets throughout the world. Our services leverage Cloud Computing infrastructure on Azure, AWS and GCP to build at scale. Job Description
  • Defining the vision, strategy and roadmap.

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including internal Product teams, IT teams, Finance, Procurement etc., to gather and document business requirements, with emphasis on identifying opportunities for AI integration.

  • Product ideation, development and launch activities

  • AI-Driven Solution Design: Work closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and AI development teams to define and refine AI-enabled solutions that address business challenges and improve decision-making.

  • Business Process Analysis: Analyze current business processes, workflows, and systems, identifying areas where AI and automation can enhance efficiency and outcomes.

  • Documentation: Create clear and concise documentation, including business requirements documents (BRD), functional requirements documents (FRD), user stories, process flow diagrams, and use cases specific to AI-enabled projects.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams, ensuring alignment and understanding of AI-related goals, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Data Analysis and Insights: Use advanced analytics tools and techniques to process large datasets, identify trends, and derive actionable insights that inform AI-driven decision-making.

  • Project Support: Support project managers in tracking progress, managing risks, and ensuring successful delivery of AI-driven projects.

  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor implemented solutions to ensure they deliver the intended benefits and propose enhancements based on feedback and performance metrics.

  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging AI technologies to suggest innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Management, Engineering management, or a similar role.

  • Strong data analysis skills, with experience using tools like SQL, Power BI and Tableau.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present ideas to stakeholders.

  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and their application.

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights.

  • Proficiency in requirements gathering, process modeling, and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, JIRA, Confluence).

  • Managing external cloud and software vendor relationships to align priorities and jointly plan roadmaps

  • Be the face of the team with executives around the company to showcase the value prop and progress against our goals.

Good to have skills:

  • Understanding of Cloud fundamentals

  • Understanding of AI concepts, including machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), predictive analytics, and automation.

  • Experience delivering cloud based products and services is a plus

  • Experience working with external partners and vendors to make build vs. buy decisions, negotiate pricing and manage long term relationships

  • Demonstrated ability to seek out opinions & build trust/buy-in across all functional teams.

  • Excellent communication and people skills

Target Base Salary Range: $101,000 - $140,000 USD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
