Our Ambulatory Surgery and Procedure Center has 10 operating rooms and 6 procedure rooms and last year we cared for almost 16,000 patients.

Regardless of role, we recognize that every member of our team is vital! The Lead Surgical Technologist is responsible for maintaining clinical expertise and promotes best practice in assigned areas, adhering to the standards of nursing practice and patient care, accurate use of supplies/equipment and maintenance of the surgical suite under the direction of an RN. This person will also assist the RN Operating Room Service Leads, and be an expert on the Surgical Technologist team.

What you will do as a Lead Surgical Technologist:

  • Serves as scrub person during operative procedures

  • Serves as clinical expert within the Surgical Tech team

  • Supplies appropriate instruments, suture and specialty items, and anticipates surgeon's needs

  • Maintains aseptic technique during all sterile procedures

  • Precepts new employees

  • Participates in committees and process improvement projects

  • Assist Supply/Implant/Tissue Coordinator with acquiring items for upcoming cases

What you will need:

  • Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technologist program

  • 5 years experience as a Surgical Technologist

Location: Ambulatory Surgery Center, 909 Fulton St SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455

Hours: 1.0 FTE

Compensation:

35.41 - 51.35 USD Hourly
