Job description
The Production Control Clerk is responsible for compiling and tracking of departmental production and performance data to ensure quality control and efficiency in support of Military Sealift Command. Production Control Clerk will support MSC's quality control initiatives and assist in facilitating adherence to departmental deadlines and requirements. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
The Production Control Clerk position participates in the Ability One program; allowing individuals with significant disabilities to work in various positions within our Government Contracted positions.

Responsibilities:
1.Responsible for compiling and recording production and performance data for Military Sealift Command to compare records and reports on volume of production, material consumption, quality control and other aspects of production.
2.Follows established guidelines, compliance requirements, and Government customer priorities
3.Compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies
4.Produces and uploads computer generated reports, reviews information with onsite managers and supervisors, and transmits information to managers, executives, and other designated personnel
5.Maintains multiple data sets, maintains and reports data utilizing multiple forms of media such as charts, graphs, tables, etc. based on information available.
6.Communicates with management to address and resolve day to day issues
7.Responsible for organization and maintenance of departmental files, records, and correspondence (hard copy and electronic)
8.Drafting and producing official correspondence and instructions utilizing inputs provided by the Government customer
9.Scheduling, attending, and organizing departmental meetings, to including taking meeting minutes as well as maintain Shared Calendars
10.Creates and prepares files, documents, administrative forms, official correspondences
11.Writes reports and presents information based on data compiled and computed
12.Performs other duties as required within overall scope of the position
13.Adhere to established procedures, policies, and guidelines to maintain confidentiality and data security.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma is required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred
2. Minimum of three years' experience in high level administrative support or data entry preferred
3. Advanced knowledge and proficiency of the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel
4. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
5. Ability to calculate and present complicated data as well as experience utilizing internal databases
6. Excellent and professional communication skills
7. Detail-oriented and possessing a high level of accuracy in regards to data entry and record-keeping.
8. Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
9. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
10. Familiarity with military or government administrative processes and systems is preferred.
11. This position requires an Active Secret security clearance or the ability to pass a Government investigation to obtain a Secret clearance. Please note obtaining at minimum an Interim Secret Clearance is required before receiving a start date for this position.
