Job Summary |
The RFID Lab at Auburn University is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Support Specialist. Provides varied and high-level administrative and technical support to the
RFID Lab, with significant emphasis on more complex administrative responsibilities. |
Essential Functions |
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinates, reviews and verifies documentation for completeness and compliance with university/departmental policies and procedures such as: purchasing card reconciliations, expense vouchers, invoicing and other financial documents
- Corresponds with campus departments concerning invoices, vouchers and other financial documents
- Communicates with external partners, board members and project sponsors on invoicing, contracts, or other financial needs as necessary
- Stays up to date on university financial processes, procedures and services; advises others and resolves policy related or procedural problems
- Provides budget tracking support for the unit
- Performs specialized technical duties and coordinates processes.
- Participates in the planning and execution of special activities for the unit including board meetings and events
- Performs a variety of clerical duties, such as: typing & correspondence, filing/folders, recordkeeping/compilation/data entry, preparation/processing forms, departmental inbox monitoring, calendars and scheduling, mail distribution and outgoing mailings, travel/expense vouchers, telephones and greeting, supplies/inventory, limited supervision of clerical or student work, other support duties of similar difficulty.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications |
Level I: High school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years' experience in administrative support services.
Level II: High school diploma or equivalent plus 6 years' experience in administrative support services. Experience must include at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent.
Substitutions allowed for Experience:
When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience. |
