Job Purpose Meet maintenance demands by ensuring documentation, training and developing staff. Build training documentation which includes checklists, standard operating procedures (SOP's), written instructions, and train to updated procedures while tracking and documenting all training. Partner with EHS, Quality, HR, Operations, CI, and Department leadership to ensure training needs are identified and satisfied. Drive best practices by promoting the company's values and commitment by means of setting high standards, teaching employees processes, procedures and techniques needed to do their jobs safely and efficiently while maintaining quality standards. ESSENTIAL TASKS:
- Assist in interviewing and selecting of new employees
- Ensure a training plan is in place for every operator and support on the job training as necessary
- Joint responsibility with departmental supervision for certification and re certification of all employees for within the respective Maintenance department(s).
- Maintain all departmental training and certification files as necessary for all employees within respective maintenance departments. Ensure documents are current and are reviewed at a minimum of every 3 years.
- Maintain department operations QC, MI, and TI shop manuals. Ensure communications have occurred regarding new or revised MI, TI and safety procedures
- Maintain a running list of all safety action items resulting from any need for improvement. This includes but not limited to Safe Cards, Audits and any other safety related programs.
- Contact person for all internal and external audits.
- Research root cause and corrective action for all quality issues and communicate corrective actions.
- Must take an active part in generating departmental cost reduction savings in the area of production and process procedures or any other means.
- Perform other duties as required or directed by management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- General high school diploma or GED.
- Over 3 years of industrial manufacturing experience
- Previous industrial maintenance experience
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, Outlook)
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to educate others.
- Must have the ability to work at a fast pace, experiment, and express opinions regarding work methods and blueprints.
- Must have strong people skills, good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to mentor, train, and guide employees and trouble shoot problems.
- Must have basic math skills, especially fractions.
- Must have knowledge of multiple manufacturing assembly processes.
