Pharmacy Courier

Location- 1800 Orleans Street

Hours- 3p-11:30p with rotating shift to include every other weekend

Pay rate: $18 per hour

Requirements

Reports to the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor/Operations Manager for the assigned area.

Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, pharmacy couriers are responsible for a variety of duties to assist in the distribution and delivery of medications and the maintenance of medication inventory.

Medication deliveries, return of medications to the pharmacy, triaging phone calls and messages related to medications. Return medications to stock.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED certificate.

Ability to read and understand patient, medication and pharmacy labels.

Requires interpersonal skills to interact with physicians, nurses, and other allied healthprofessional to obtain, verify and exchange information.

Successful completion of the Hazardous Drug Handling competency.

Ability to work rotating shift to include day, evening shift and every other weekend.

Experience working in a hospital pharmacy preferred.
