Application Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Application Engineer (AE) with a solid background in electronics engineering, SW development and hands-on experience in testing digital/highspeed digital devices. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), specifically utilizing Advantest's V93000 hardware and SmarTest 8 software. This role will be critical in developing, implementing, and optimizing test solutions for next-generation high performance computing devices.

Responsibilities include:

- Provide technical leadership and support in the sales and support of V93000 Semiconductor Test Systems and Applications for Advantest customers and their partners.

- Strong problem solver with good technical capabilities, good communication skill, self-motivated, customer focus and result oriented

- Focus during varies of the sales process range from: including requirements analysis, feature demonstrations, benchmarks, competitive positioning, and implementation and execution.

- Ensures the Advantest products function per specifications.

- Integrates Advantest products and services (at the system/solutions level) into customer's environment.

- Perform analysis of complex IC manufacturer customer requirements providing expertise on topics such as: Performance, Design, Utilization, Optimization, test program development/conversions and Implementation Strategies.

- Accountable for the design, scoping, and technical validity of the solution to achieve the customer's business objectives.

- Identifies Advantest and Non-Advantest resources required to deliver customer solutions and tracks and manages the committed deliverables.

- Keeps global technical peers informed of new and emerging technologies and information in their business segment.

- Through expertise based value creation, candidate becomes integral to the customer's business processes and establishes influence on the customer's decision process and business outcomes.

- Create project plans for complex projects and track project completion.

- Represents customer's needs of their assigned business segment to field and factory.

- Technologies range from digital and high-speed SoC technologies.

- Create and deliver customer training classes and consultation materials

- Expect a minimum of 20% travel to various customer and Advantest sites (sometimes in short notice)
