Overview

The C5I Platform Integration team is responsible for the successful integration of government furnished and shipbuilder developed command and control systems within the submarine platform. C5I integration and engineering opportunities range from initial system design through development, hardware/software integration, test, delivery and integration of the systems aboard nuclear submarines.

Candidates will be required to:

    Analyze, develop, and review requirements and verification plans for systems and platform development (analyze GFI and provide comment, facilitate incorporation into Submarine design for NPES systems)
  • Support development and maintenance of platform-level architecture concepts and systems engineering activities including trade studies that require multi-discipline integration to identify solutions which optimize the design based on normal, casualty and maintenance operations, construction cost and schedule, life cycle cost, and all applicable technical and programmatic requirements. (perform trade studies for concept GFI to development of design estimates and P1 Scope changes)
  • Provide concept-to-production engineering support for various electrical and electronic hardware components.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems, Industrial, Electronics, or Computer Science
  • 0-5 years of post graduate engineering experience
  • Current secret level clearance or ability to obtain one through the Department of Defense

Preferred:

  • Experience with Electric Boat Design, Engineering and Construction processes
  • Experience with the operation and maintenance of Non-Propulsion Electronic Systems (NPES)

  • Candidates are expected to demonstrate strong inter-personal, organizational and communication skills to successfully drive to achieve the program goals.
  • Demonstrated experience developing innovative solutions to complex problems is highly desirable.
  • Beneficial skills include technical facilitation, project management, earned value management, and familiarity with current design tools and processes.
  • Strong problem solving skills
