We have an opening at our Monmouth Junction, NJ facility for an Associate Director/Director, IT - Data & Analytics. Title and compensation commensurate with experience.

The Associate Director/Director, IT - Data & Analytics is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving the development, governance, and execution of enterprise-wide data and analytics initiatives. This individual will lead the design and implementation of modern data architectures, promote data literacy across the organization, and enable business stakeholders to derive actionable insights through advanced analytics, reporting, and AI/ML capabilities. This individual will have the opportunity to shape the digital and data transformation in a growing, mission-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Leadership

  • Defines and executes the data and analytics roadmap aligned with business priorities
  • Serves as a thought leader and advocate for data-driven decision-making across departments (e.g., Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Finance)
  • Manages a small, high-performing team of data engineers, analysts, and BI developers

Data Architecture & Engineering

  • Oversees development and maintenance of enterprise data platforms (data lake, data warehouse, and pipelines)
  • Ensures integration of data from multiple internal and external sources (e.g., ERP, CRM, LIMS, EDC, PV systems)
  • Implements modern architectures (e.g., ELT, cloud-native, serverless) using tools like Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, or AWS

Analytics, BI & AI/ML

  • Leads enterprise reporting and dashboarding efforts using platforms like Power BI, & Tableau
  • Partners with business units to define KPIs, performance metrics, and predictive models
  • Evaluates and deploys AI/ML solutions to automate insights and identify trends (e.g., forecasting, anomaly detection)

Governance, Compliance & Security

  • Drives enterprise data governance, including data stewardship, master data management (MDM), and metadata management
  • Ensures data practices meet regulatory requirements (e.g., GxP, HIPAA, SOX, GDPR)
  • Partners with InfoSec and Compliance to maintain robust data security and access controls

Vendor & Project Management

  • Manages vendor relationships for data platforms, tools, and consulting engagements
  • Oversees project planning, budgeting, timelines, and cross-functional coordination

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering or related field REQUIRED
  • 10+ years of experience in IT in positions of increasing technical and leadership responsibility (minimum 5 years in data & analytics leadership roles)
  • Proven experience in architecting and delivering enterprise-scale data platforms and analytics capabilities
  • Industry experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or healthcare STRONGLY PREFERRED
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern data tools (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, dbt) REQUIRED
  • Proficient in SQL, Python/R, and dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau) REQUIRED
  • Experience building and leading distributed or matrixed technical teams REQUIRED

Work Arrangements: We are a HYBRID work environment requiring local candidates to be able to work majority of week in our NJ office. Non-local candidates must be able to come into office multiple times a month.

Anticipated salary range: $180 to $ 250K/yr. Base salary offered is contingent on assessment of candidate's education and experience level relative to requirements of the position and a review of related industry standards and internal equity.

Additional benefits: In addition to base salary, full-time employees are also eligible for incentives, including, but not limited to: bonus eligible, medical, dental, vision, Rx insurance, 401K with match, life insurance, paid Company Holidays, PTO, Paid Volunteer Time and Employee Resource Groups.
