Position Summary

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about personnel, physical, and facility security management. The selected candidate will work at the Camp Bullis Mission Training Complex (MTC) in San Antonio, Texas. They will be responsible for managing all aspects of security associated with the MTC, including personnel and physical security, Standard Operating Procedures, and training in support of the Site Lead and Government leadership.

This is an exciting opportunity for a successful applicant to manage all security aspects of a small US Army training facility. This role will require proactiveness, responsiveness, and discipline to meet training unit, Government, and staff requirements. In this role, the candidate must be able to understand and comply with security regulations and policies and know the processes for meeting those security requirements.

What You'll Do



  • Administers the JBSA MTC's Personnel Security, Security Awareness Training, Employees Continuous Evaluation/Eligibility for access to classified National Defense Information Programs, security policies, and overall procedures for JBSA MTC.
  • Responsible for the development, management, administration, and implementation of security policies and programs for the MTC Personnel Security Program for mitigating the risk of compromise of national security information.
  • Performs duties as the Security Specialist responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures, standards, and training for the MTC Personnel Security mission as required by regulations and policies.
  • Conduct access control and clearance verification through the Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
  • Reports to the Site Lead
  • Minimum travel required


Requirements and Qualifications:



  • Four (4) years of directly related security specialist experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or 8 Years equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
  • Must be knowledgeable of applicable Army and DOD security policies and regulations
  • Experience in the functions of an Industrial or Facility Security Officer, or a government or military Security Officer
  • DISS operations experience
  • U.S. citizenship and active Secret security clearance


Desired Qualifications



  • Experience in managing security, closed facility programs, and personnel clearances.
  • Military service with experience in areas similar to those listed under required qualifications
  • Familiarity with military (preferably US Army) training, operations, training aids, devices, simulators, and simulations (TADSS), and mission command information systems (MCIS)
