Summary: This position supports the design and implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions through the creation of data ware houses, data marts, data stores and report writing. This will give the intern gainful experience and knowledge in the Programmer-SQL/Business Intelligence field. * Focus on Patient Care. Essential Intern functions: Work with Programmer Analyst on various projects including but not limited to: Providing solutions to client defined data and reporting needs. Analyzing manual processes and designing programs to automate those processes. Designing and implementing organizational and departmental dashboards. Contributing to the development of estimates, project plans, and milestones. Collaboration with others to test and resolve issues with deliverables. Customer Service Responsibilities: Demonstrates excellent customer service behaviors consistent with organizational and departmental standards. Consistently promotes teamwork and direct communication with co-workers. Deals discretely and sensitively with confidential information. Responsibilities in Quality Improvement: Contributes by identifying problems and seeking solutions. Promotes patient/family satisfaction where possible; participates in departmental efforts to monitor and report customer service. Reporting Relationship: IT Programmer Analyst Work Schedule Fulltime/Part-time This is an unpaid internship. The internship focus is on providing education and on-the-job training, and not actual employment. This training is considered a benefit for the intern, not Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. The intern position is not a replacement for regular staff and the intern should not expect to be entitled to a job once training is complete. A one-time $3500 stipend is offered which is a fixed sum of money paid at regular intervals to help the unpaid intern cover certain costs for participating in the internship experience. This stipend amount is paid on a (monthly) basis and is intended to cover basic needs, such as lodging, meals and transportation.
