Software Engineer needed for a contract to hire opportunity with SOC's client in Aurora, CO Must have an active Top Secret /SCI clearance to be considered for this role. Job Description:* In this role, you will be joining a talented team of software engineers who are designing and developing a reusable software foundation to build satellite ground system software. What You Will Do Design, develop, deploy, and maintain user interface software Work with a team of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment What You Will Learn Modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques Software lifecycle practices for defense projects Qualifications You Must Have ENG02 - A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of relevant software engineering experience ENG04 - A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of relevant software engineering experience Experience with JavaScript and Angular Experience developing user interface software The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Qualifications We Prefer Experience developing software using Java Experience with microservices in an AWS environment using Docker and Kubernetes Software development lifecycle experience using an Agile methodology Experience with tools such as Confluence, Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, Junit, Kafka, and Spring Boot Experience with some area of satellite ground system software such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, or flight dynamics models Employment Pre-requisites The following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: successful completion of a background investigation, and drug urinalysis.
