Compensation Grade: H96Compensation Details: Minimum: $20.00 - Maximum: $20.00 HourlyDepartment (OPH) Office of Public HealthJob Description: Responsibilities Health Research, Inc. is seeking an Hourly Project Assistant II to work within Center for Community Health. The hourly will work with and analyze early intervention program data to support public health reporting and performance monitoring. Tasks will include gathering information toward the response to county-level data requests, generating summary statistics, supporting annual reporting requirements to the NYS Department of Health, and ensuring data quality. This project provides hands-on experience with public health datasets, coding in SAS and SQL, and contributing to real-world health program operations. This position is part of the Pathways to Public Health Internship Program. It is made available through funding from the Center for Disease Control's Public Health Infrastructure Grant to expand opportunities to strengthen career pathways to public health by bringing together students of all disciplines and academic levels with public health professionals to create a space of exploration, learning, and development. Undergraduate or Graduate Student enrolled in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics or related field. Conditions of Employment Hourly, grant funded position expected until approximately 11/28/2025. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel, 10% of the time, will be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.
