About the Role

The position of Testing Engineer is a highly demanding role. It will be your responsibility to test multiple games and projects. You will join the technology team within BetMGM, all with varying levels of experience. BetMGM is looking for a self-starter with an interest in sports wagering and online casino gaming. The main area of focus will be testing the company's products, ensuring they are ready for market in a fast and effective manner. The role will include creating test-cases, managing and reporting any bugs or issues into the organization. Where necessary researching and incorporating appropriate open-source frameworks or developing a suitable in-house framework may be required.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Technical Managers, DevOps engineers and your testing team to define, develop and implement testing practice for the company

• Help train and support other members of the testing team

• Report on all testing, and keep stakeholders updated on the quality of both individual components (e.g. specific games), and the overall health of the entire product range.

• Collaborate closely with developers, designers and other testers in a distributed team environment to define and implement enhancements, business facing integration, and suitable manual tests, as well as utilizing appropriate tools to assure build quality

• Convert and articulate good testing practices including requirements elicitation, acceptance test definition, test writing, exploratory testing, and possess the ability to deal effectively with uncertainty and alternative points of view

• Undertake exploratory as well as structured manual testing

• Develop and enhance automated tests where appropriate

• Lead investigations into defects and potential exploits of the system

• Raise, track and have ownership of issues through to resolution

• The most important attribute is a commitment and enthusiasm for quality and enabling a culture of consistent high-quality product delivery by developing smart systems that deliver great feedback

• Onsite and remote testing will be required

• Testing to ensure compliance with regulatory standards

• Ability to work in a globally integrated environment

• Ability to both recognize process barriers or risks and address them in a timely fashion

• Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Technology or other applicable field

• Manual Testing experience

• Gaming or mathematical background

• Quality Centre, JIRA, Test Rail

• Integration testing, system and end to end testing circle, Agile

• Strong analytical, problem identification and resolution skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Demonstrated ability to function as part of a team providing a high level of quality service

• Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time

The annual salary range for this position is $69,120 to $90,720. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.

Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements

As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations. Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies. Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment. Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.

In addition, candidates must comply with and support the company's responsible gambling policies, procedures and initiatives.

Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
