Senior Advanced Systems Engineer/Tracking Systems Engineer

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer - Tracking Systems Engineer for the SDA GMI program, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system.

Preferred Experience:

Technical Background:

• Systems Engineering: Proficiency in systems engineering, decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, design behavior with emphasis on:
• Software/Systems engineering: Experience decomposing the high-level space-ground systems design into ground software/systems design
• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as, CAMEO or MagicDraw
• Programming and Tools Skills: Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, and MATLAB, including for software developer coordination, system analysis, prototype algorithm development, or modeling
• Cloud Computing: Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment
• Simulation and Modeling: Background in simulation and modeling analysis with tools like STK, particularly in aerospace applications a plus

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with customers, mission partners, and other key stakeholders to translate requirements into robust system designs within a fast-moving timeline
• Decomposition of end-to-end system requirements into architecture, design, interfaces, and test cases
• Coordination with developers and integration and test teams to ensure component development meet system mission needs

• Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Ground system design or scheduling.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in tracking mission design.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Satellite communications.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Ground to Satellite communication.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in System/Software design for cloud-based microservice architecture.

• Master's Degree.
