What You Can Expect

As our Power Marketing Intern, you will be primarily focused on supporting power marketing and sales efforts targeting customers and understanding their renewable energy and sustainability targets. Additional responsibilities will include preparing sales support materials including submitting detailed proposal packages into open Request For Proposals (RFPs), preparing presentations to the customers, identifying industry trends, and liaising with cross-functional teams at ENGIE. This position requires balancing a quantitative and qualitative approach to evaluating risk with strong written and communication skills to explain renewable energy power purchase concepts concisely to stakeholders from various disciplines (finance, project development, operations, engineering, strategic management, etc.).

As a member of ENGIE North America's Power Marketing team, you will be working with market participants in a variety of different roles: corporate sustainability, mergers and acquisitions, enterprise risk management, utility customer programs and energy trading.

This role would be an ideal growth opportunity for an ambitious self-starter looking to build experience in the renewable energy industry to help fulfill the company's renewable energy aspirations and growth strategy within North America.

* Assist the Power Marketing team with grid-scale solar, wind and storage project marketing efforts

* Analyze wholesale electricity markets and evaluate industry trends

* Evaluate requests for bids, assist with bid preparation, including presentation materials for customers and buyers

* Help identify national industry trends impacting the future of renewable development opportunities and their competitiveness as they relate to customers

* Support long-term power sale agreement negotiations with various customers and internal approval processes which facilitate the financing and build out of new renewable and/or energy storage projects

* Evaluate transaction details and identify risk and opportunities for project revenue optimization

* Collaborate and coordinate with ENGIE's project support teams from development, construction, operations and maintenance, procurement, finance, accounting, energy trading and transmission analysis teams

* Additional areas of work include market research, data management, competitive analysis, assistance on marketing collateral, and other ad hoc analyses

* Carries out other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

* At least a GPA of 3.0 or higher

* Junior or Senior Undergraduate Student

* Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

* Strong business acumen with an ability to prepare both quantitative and qualitative analysis

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills

* Demonstrated ability to take initiative

* A strong interest to learn about renewable energy products and contracts

This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy

Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies;

Compensation

Hourly Range:$22.50 - $29.50 USD annually

This represents theaverage expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
