SUMMARY:

We seek a skilled Senior Software Engineer with a strong .NET and JavaScript development foundation to enhance our engineering team's capabilities on our Azure-based microservices platform. The candidate will contribute to designing, developing, and optimizing software solutions-including AI-powered experiences-crucial for meeting business and user needs. This includes working across front-end and back-end layers and collaborating with AI Engineers and UX Designers to integrate intelligent systems into production applications.

The role requires a solid understanding of software engineering practices, comfort with modern AI patterns (e.g., Model Context Protocol and Agent-to-Agent architectures), and an ability to apply Agile methodologies effectively throughout the software development lifecycle. A passion for emerging technologies and excitement around incorporating LLMs and autonomous agents into scalable, maintainable systems is highly valued.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

*Software Development: Leading and executing advanced development tasks for both frontend and backend, using .NET Core, C#, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React), ensuring that software solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with business needs. This includes building intelligent systems that may incorporate AI components such as large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, or agent frameworks.
*Technical Leadership: Providing technical guidance, solution validation, and architectural leadership on complex projects, focusing on innovation, AI-readiness, and high-quality outcomes. Collaborating closely with AI Engineers and UX Designers to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with intelligent UX flows.
*Project Execution and Strategy: Collaborating with the Team Lead, Manager, Architects, Cloud Engineers, and other stakeholders to assist in defining project goals, establishing technical standards, and setting timelines. Contributing strategically to planning phases, especially for projects incorporating AI capabilities and modern orchestration patterns.
*Performance Optimization: Analyzing existing applications for performance improvements, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to enhance system performance and scalability. Where applicable, applying observability and logging strategies to monitor AI component behavior in production environments.
*Mentoring and Collaboration: Mentoring associates, mid-level developers, and new team members, promoting a learning culture and continuous improvement within the team. Supporting knowledge development in emerging areas such as AI-first architecture and full-stack AI integration.
*Code Reviews and Quality Assurance: Overseeing code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, and promoting overall quality of outputs across all development processes by continually reviewing and refining code quality metrics-including those impacting AI system reliability and maintainability.
*Documentation: Creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation-including architectural decisions and data flows-to support development and ensure smooth operations and cross-functional alignment, especially for intelligent system components.

YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE/ARE:

*7+ years of software development experience, with at least 3+ years in a senior role focusing on full stack development (frontend and backend).
*Proven track record of successful project execution in a team-specific context, demonstrating the ability to lead projects within a specialized team environment.
*Experience building native cloud applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
*Must have high level of competency in both frontend and backend languages and frameworks.

*Bachelor's Degree
*Microsoft AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals Certification (if certification is not current, must be obtained within the first 60 days of employment)
*AZ-204 Certification (if certification is not current, must be obtained within first 6 months of employment)

*Collaboration: Effectively collaborates within teams and with other departments, including interdisciplinary product teams involving UX Designers and AI Engineers.

*Problem-solving: Exceptional analytical skills, swiftly analyzing and resolving complex technical issues-including those related to intelligent system design and integration-to maintain project momentum and code quality.

*Programming Languages and Frameworks: Highly skilled in object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, design patterns, and system architecture. Expertise spans .NET, JavaScript, and Angular environments, with proficiency in ASP.NET Web Forms for legacy application support. Capable of building interactive UIs using React and experienced in using TypeScript for type-safe code development. Applies modern JavaScript frameworks and architectural patterns in both conventional and AI-enhanced applications.
*Cloud Technologies and Services: In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud services, including Azure Blob Storage for scalable cloud storage solutions and implementing cloud-native applications. Familiar with building secure, scalable services that support intelligent workflows and AI models.
*Agile Methodology: Highly proficient across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, implementing Agile practices effectively to enhance project delivery in fast-paced, AI-first development environments.
*DevOps Practices: Experienced in CI/CD to automate application build, testing, and deployment, including pipelines supporting model integration and cloud observability.
*Microservices Architecture: Skilled in designing and implementing solutions using microservices architecture to enhance scalability and maintainability in both traditional and AI-centric systems.
*Security Testing: Understands and implements security best practices within software development and cloud deployments, including trust, privacy, and control considerations around AI components.
*Database Management and Design: Proficient in SQL for complex query writing and database management. Experienced with Cosmos DB for NoSQL solutions and SQL Server or Oracle for relational database services, with awareness of data needs for AI training and inference workflows.
*Azure Development: Proficient in building, testing, deploying, and managing applications and services through Microsoft-managed data centers, with hands-on experience in deploying intelligent cloud-native solutions.
*API Management: Understanding of managing APIs to create consistent and secure API gateways for back-end services, including AI model endpoints and orchestration layers.
*Container Services: Knowledge of orchestrating containers using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or similar technologies to manage containerized applications, including those running LLMs or agent-based services.
*JavaScript Architecture: Comprehensive understanding of responsive JavaScript design patterns, data structures, and web architecture, applying them effectively to craft pragmatic and robust solutions for both standard and AI-powered user experiences.
