Job Description

The Bagmaking Production Technician is responsible for actively participating in and maintaining process improvement project data, Standard Operating Procedure updates, and other duties as deemed necessary to provide service to the production department. Further, the Bags Process Technician will be actively involved in the identification of problem areas that adversely influence product efficiency, corrective actions that ensure product quality and preventive actions for future failures. The technician is to perform these job duties with the utmost regard for safety, to personnel, equipment, food safety standards and conditions.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


* Analyze potential problem areas


* Coordinate project planning with production, engineering, and supporting departments


* Assist with problems in Manufacturing as requested by Andon process and provide troubleshooting direction for Operations.


* Coordinate, communicate, and collaborate with the QA/TQL to analyze data and help make on shift decisions.


* Present appropriate analysis to management


* Investigate and help lead Root Cause Analysis with issues in the department.


* Maintaining accurate records, files, and documents relative to the efficient daily operation of the Bags department (Downtime report, Std Work audits, etc.)


* Follow all applicable EHS, Quality and Food Safety procedures and protocols, and reports any incident to his/her supervisor.


* Complete all EHS, Quality and Food Safety applicable training.


* Support implementation of the Quality and Food Safety program and comply with the expectations if this role is included as part of the Food Safety or Internal Audit team.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


* Minimum 2 years' experience in Converting and Manufacturing


* Sealed Air SAP systems knowledge


* Overall Bags operational knowledge


* Word and Excel processing skills, including charting


* Good Writing skills


* Follows Plant Safety Rules


* Follows Department Safety Rules


* Maintains an Acceptable Attendance Record


* Initiates Work Requests


* Must have good judgment with decision making regarding Safety and Quality.


* Performs Other Duties as Directed by TPL, GPL, or VSL.



Education and Experience:


* Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalency
