Job Summary
The VP for Enrollment Management is seeking an Enrollment Communications & Marketing Manager to oversee communication and marketing services for a department, small division, or college.
Essential Functions

  • Delivers both visionary and operational leadership in enrollment marketing and communications strategy to advance recruitment, enrollment, financial aid, and scholarship efforts. Collaborates closely with the Vice President for Enrollment to develop and execute strategic initiatives that ensure all messaging is contemporary, on-brand, and resonates with prospective students.
  • Manages, designs, and executes a strategic, goal-oriented enrollment marketing and communications plan grounded in data and aligned with the university's vision and divisional goals. Implements this plan across multiple platforms, including the website, social media, digital advertising, print materials, and additional communication channels.
  • Conducts market analysis and peer institution research to craft compelling, effective communications that resonate with prospective students, their families, school counselors, transfer advisors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Develops and maintains a strong and cohesive visual identity for enrollment management in alignment with Auburn University's overall brand strategy. Creates engaging marketing materials, both digital and print, to support recruitment and enrollment efforts.
  • Serves as the division's primary liaison to the Office of Communication and Marketing, collaborating on storytelling initiatives and the implementation of enrollment marketing strategies.
  • Oversees all enrollment-related communications, both internal and external, and manages relationships with external enrollment marketing vendors. Routinely assesses and refines communication, messaging, and materials, with a particular emphasis on affordability and recruiting high-achieving students.
  • Manages the enrollment marketing and communications budget, collaborating with Enrollment Management leadership to strategically allocate resources to support both immediate and long-term goals.
  • Coordinates and manages division-wide internal communications by implementing consistent and effective communication practices that promote collaboration, innovation, and alignment with strategic enrollment objectives. Organize and execute events hosted at the division level.

  • Strategic Marketing Expertise: Proven experience developing and executing strategic marketing plans in higher education or enrollment management. Familiarity with data-driven marketing and communications strategies.

  • Digital Marketing Proficiency: Strong understanding of digital advertising platforms. Experience managing multi-channel campaigns including email, web, and social media.

  • Creative and Visual Communication Skills: Ability to create compelling visual content aligned with institutional branding. Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and content management systems.

  • Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrated success in leading teams and mentoring staff. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external vendors.

  • Enrollment and Recruitment Knowledge: Familiarity with student recruitment trends, financial aid messaging, and audience segmentation (e.g., high-achieving students, transfer students, counselors).

  • Project and Budget Management: Experience managing budgets and allocating resources strategically. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Analytical and Research Skills: Ability to conduct market analysis and competitor research to inform messaging and strategy. Experience using data to assess campaign effectiveness and refine communications.

  • Event Planning and Internal Communications: Experience organizing division-level events and implementing internal communication strategies that foster collaboration and innovation.
