SALARY RANGE: $18.27 to $20.00/hour

Position Summary:
The Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion of Individuals with Psychiatric Disabilities is seeking to hire a full time Research Assistant. The Research Assistant will be responsible for coordinating and carrying out research-related activities on grant funded research projects.

Required Education and Experience:
*Bachelor's degree in field related to social sciences
*At least six months experience working with human subjects.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities:
*Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office software programs.
*Ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary research team and to provide support to various levels of leadership.
*Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
*Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse stakeholder population to include community partners, individuals with serious mental illness and staff.
*Strong organizational and time management skills.
*Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail, and adherence to project deadlines.
*Excellent written and oral communication skills.
*Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
*Demonstrated ability to conduct research fact finding searches, including internet and scholarly literature searches
*Ability and willingness to travel to off-site locations and community mental health services across the Philadelphia region using public transportation or one's own vehicle.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:
*Experience in community-based research with individuals who have a mental illness.

Essential duties:
*Subject recruitment and enrollment that is conducted through outreach to mental health agencies and programs and elsewhere
*In-person subject recruitment and enrollment at mental health centers and other places in the Philadelphia region
*Data collection that is conducted remotely (e.g., video conferencing, telephone, email, etc.) as well as in-person data collection that occurs at mental health agencies and programs and elsewhere in the Philadelphia region
*Facilitating and maintaining positive relationship with research and community based collaborators
*Supporting IRB submissions; developing manuals, resources, and intellectual research products
*Submitting weekly progress reports to the PI and Research Coordinator
*Prioritizing workflow of tasks within established guidelines, subject to supervision of progress results; providing administrative support on assigned projects
*Identifies best practices for subject recruitment and retention
*Facilitating and maintaining positive relationship with collaborators
*Development of resources and products
*Distributing and tracking of participant reimbursement and other study related expenditures.
*Providing general organizational support
Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
