As the primary Conference Center Technician - you are responsible for assuring high standards of customer service, timely response to and resolution of any client's requests or concerns and maintaining the above rooms in good condition throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up Conference Rooms for the daily meetings as requested/specified by Project Coordinator, Facilities (Simone J. Washington)
  • Check all lights in the conference rooms (see locations above) to include but not limited to ceiling lights, chandeliers, portrait/art lights etc.
  • Ensure that the time on ALL clocks is correct.
  • Ensure that each room is equipped with evacuation instructions in case of an emergency.
  • Check the room for cleanliness, ceiling tiles, lights out, carpet frays, carpet cleaning or anything else that is unsightly that would need immediate repair.
  • Check the memorial garden tables, trashcans, windows/crevices along the building for spiker webs, pollen, debris etc.
  • Make sure the fireplace in the Savannah room is operating correctly.
  • After each meeting has ended make sure the rooms are cleaned and ready for the next user:
    • Empty all waste receptacles, including changing the liners if need be.
    • Wipe down the conference room tables/chairs.
    • Remove and clean any food/drinks left behind in the serving areas outside the conference rooms.
    • Move the chairs back to their original spot.
    • Clean the whiteboards after every meeting, unless a specific request has been made by the Project coordinator, Facilities (Simone J. Washington)
    • Make sure all food is discarded and meeting room is cleaned.
    • Sweep/Vacuum the floor as needed.
  • 2 Kitchen Areas in the Conference Center
    • Make sure the kitchens are fully stocked daily (coffee, sugar, milk, etc.)
    • Wipe down the countertops, sink, fixtures as needed.
    • Empty waste receptables and replace liners, as needed.
    • Sweep/vacuum/Mop the floor as needed.
    • Make sure all leftover food is discarded on a timely mater (after every meeting) and areas are cleaned.
  • Restrooms in the Conference Center
    • Inspect the restrooms frequently to ensure that all dispensers are fully stocked (toilet paper, hand towels soap etc.)
    • Wipe down restroom counters, mirrors, partitions, fixtures as needed.
    • Sweep/mop the floor as necessary.
    • Empty waste receptables and replace liners, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager both Colliers/GPC.
    • Example:
      • Changing lightbulbs throughout the campus as needed, etc.
      • Checking fire extinguishers in building monthly.
