Saxman One is seeking highly organized and detail-oriented applicants to fill the role of Program Manager (PM), to lead an experienced team of professionals responsible for meeting/conference planning, graphic/web design, and communications to support a Health and Human Services (HHS) contract. This role serves as the principal liaison between our team and the government, ensuring that all program and project tasks are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards; and involves project oversight from planning through delivery, quality control, and resource allocation. Both roles will oversee a multi-disciplinary team of meeting planners, technical writers, graphic artists, and web designers in order to collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to achieve program objectives. Other duties may be required.



  • Work collaboratively to ensure the success of the contract: day-to-day management of contract requirements and project deliverables; assist in developing project schedules, budgets, and resource plans' track project milestones and deliverable status; and prepare updates. Additionally, they coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and government points of contact to maintain alignment on project goals; and prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and document action items for follow-up.
  • Support quality assurance reviews to verify deliverables meet government standards.
  • Supervise assigned staff ensuring work products meet contract specifications.
  • Coordinate manpower and resources across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Communicate project schedules, updates, and changes to all stakeholders.
  • Plan and facilitate project meetings to align teams on objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Demonstrate a passion for leading a team of varied-leveled planners, with expert knowledge on planning for a government agency.
  • Demonstrate a passion for leading a team of varied-leveled planners, writers who will provide technical writing support, formulate, and write copies for projects for a government client.
  • Examples of tasks and deliverables requiring oversight are fact sheets, project summaries, monthly progress reports, informational packets, press releases, publications and web content that require technical writing and editing. Proofreading support for materials such as reports, news releases, fact sheets web site text, and PSA scripts also applies.
  • Subordinate writers will also collaborate with subject matter experts, researchers, and graphic artist to produce documents as well as conduct research, identify subject matter experts, conduct interviews, gathers data and collates and organizes facts for inclusion in written products; which will require oversight by the Assistant Program Manager.
  • Both must be extremely effective in peer-driven collaborative groups and highly committed to team success, and thrive working collaboratively on a multi person team.
  • Travel Requirement: A range between 10% and 30% travel should be expected, although changing requirements may alter that percentage. Onsite support at events should be expected.
