ABOUT THE JOB:

As the QA Supervisor, you are responsible for developing, implementing, and managing operational procedures for the QA department, provide proper training and daily direction to QA team members, and assures all products and packages are produced in accordance with company specifications. You will foster a culture in which all team members are actively engaged. Additionally, you will serve as a member of the Food Safety/Food Defense Teams. Are you up for the challenge? WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Manage and train all QA department team members and assign work schedules for the department.
• Maintain that all procedures, records, and department policies and procedures are up to date.
• Understand quality specifications, water treatment functions, and chemical handling.
• Maintain adequate inventories of lab supplies, water treatment supplies, sanitation chemicals and product ingredients.
• Maintain calibration records and upgrade testing equipment as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all plant sanitation requirements.
• Schedule annual PMs for lab equipment.
• Investigate batching and/or quality issues.
• Oversee quality hold program.
• Participate in cross-functional projects involving quality, safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.
• This is a 1^st shift position.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Background in Quality Assurance
• Higher education with emphasis in math, physics and chemistry is desirable
• Prior supervisory experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Professional communication (verbal & written) and presentation skills
• Effective team leadership and teambuilding skills
