Position Summary

We are looking for you - dynamic, best-in-class talent - to join the growing Commerce team as a Project Manager. In this role you will support in the end-to-end delivery of commerce campaigns-ensuring projects are planned, executed, and delivered with precision, on time, and to the highest standard. You will partner closely with Account/Media, Creative, Strategy, and Media teams to bring retail/commerce campaigns to life. This includes managing timelines, assets, workflows, and cross-functional communication.

The Commerce team is a specialty group that focuses on the planning, buying, execution and measurement of Commerce media. Commerce media is any specific media elements that are retailer focused/tagged. This can be in-store signage such as a coupon machine or shelfblade, a billboard driving shoppers to a Walmart store, digital ads (search, display, OLV/STV, etc) on Amazon or Kroger.com site via managed or self service, tapping influencers that support certain retailers or working with shoppable technology companies to ensure ease of conversion. The team supports client's commerce/shopper/customer marketing teams-our end goal measuring product sales both online and in-store.

As a Project Manager, you will be at the heart of our cross-channel advertising campaigns, managing creative assets and launches for paid media. You'll be the primary liaison between internal (Creative, Strategy and Account) and support to external stakeholders (Client Creative Teams, Vendors, and Retail Media Partners), ensuring flawless execution of approved campaign deliverables. Your role is critical in driving collaboration, managing timelines, and facilitating communication to deliver high-quality, impactful work that exceeds our clients' expectations. You will manage the production of print and digital materials associated with your account assignments, ensuring projects are on-time and meet client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Agency Relationship Management:

    • Work directly with account teams to understand overall business objectives and strategies, and how each project interrelates.
    • Manage internal and support account team with partner relationships from inception to launch by maintaining open lines of communication, monitoring and escalating project risks, and soliciting partner feedback in collaboration with your Account Team.
    • Troubleshoot conflicts directly with all stakeholders.




  • Campaign Execution & Deliverable Management:

    • Manage deliverables for flawless campaign execution, ensuring all elements are aligned with the overall strategy.
    • Ensure the campaign execution process is followed appropriately by craft teams.
    • Process and direct creative assets (KV, images, logos, fonts, videos, and audio) to media partners to create custom ads.




  • Stakeholder Communication & Coordination:

    • Act as the primary liaison between internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring clear communication at all project levels.
    • Attend and support campaign kick-off meetings/calls, answering creative needs questions and sending internal meeting recaps.
    • Provide creative status updates to Internal Teams and External Partners and the impact on launch status.




  • Risk Management & Problem Solving:

    • Identify areas of potential risk and implement risk mitigation strategies on all assigned projects.




  • Timeline Development & Management:

    • Create and maintain detailed project timelines in Asana (or any relevant project management tool), outlining all phases from initiation to completion.
    • Proactively monitor progress against planned milestones, identifying and addressing potential delays or bottlenecks.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to adjust timelines and resources as needed to ensure projects stay on track.




  • Asset Management & Brand Compliance:

    • Maintain asset organization within file storage.
    • Support account team to communicate and implement clear brand guidelines to media partners creating custom ads.
    • Extract and compile assets and guides from client asset platforms for project use.




  • Project Tracking & Reporting:

    • Maintain and update internal Creative and Strategy tracking systems with the latest project information, milestones, and status documents.
    • Provide a clear overview of project progress, escalating any delays or challenges to ensure timely resolution.
    • Identify areas of optimization in process and project-related reports (status).




  • Process Improvement:

    • Establish and enforce a streamlined workflow of agency project-related processes.
    • Identify and mitigate any issues that can delay a project.





Required Skills & Experience

  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a variety of agency/client settings and platforms.
  • Demonstrated consensus-building capability, influence skills, and credibility with other functional areas and upper management.
  • Track, record, and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft with an ability to embrace, onboard, and learn internal project management tools and systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively under high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts to internal/external teams.
  • Well-organized, ability to multi-task, strong written and oral communication skills, detail-oriented, energetic, can work as a team or independently, and receptive to feedback.
  • Ability to thrive, multitask, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have strong planning and project management skills; be highly organized and detail-oriented with an ability to influence others in these areas.
  • Ability to find creative solutions to complex problems and multi-task.
  • Understands that one's actions affect others and the agency as a whole and acts accordingly.
  • Ability to remain flexible and focused in an environment of changing circumstances.
  • Demonstrated awareness of when to inform, involve, and escalate concerns to Leadership Team.
  • PMI or other project management certification preferred.
  • Highly computer-literate with practical experience utilizing project management tools including: Asana and Microsoft Office (including MS Excel).



Desired Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years of project management experience in an agency or marketing environment.
  • Experience working within an advertising agency environment.
  • Experience working in Commerce &/or Retail Media Networks.
  • Familiar with marketing communications strategy and processes across all media formats including online media, data processing, tagging, creative solutions, and experiential executions.
  • Knowledge of the digital media trafficking process.
  • Demonstrated experience directing a variety of integrated projects.
  • Proven track record of developing relationships through gaining trust and successful delivery.
