Position Highlights:

  • Position: Psychologist, Doctoral Training

  • Location: Naperville

  • Full Time

  • Hours: 8a to 4:30pm Monday - Frida

What you will need:

  • Education:

    • Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology; must be either a Ph.D. or Psy.D. Degree

  • License:

    • Current State of Illinois Licensed Clinical Psychology (LCP) licensure

  • Experience & Skills (Preferred):

    • Ability to deliver empirically-supported psychotherapeutic treatment

    • Knowledge of developmental psychology, disease pathology and clinical needs of assigned population

    • Ability to maintain information which is highly confidential

    • Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation

    • Able to demonstrate self-control in volatile or hostile situations

    • Able to set therapeutic limits and maintain therapeutic distance with clients; maintains therapeutic boundaries with patients during treatment and following discharge

    • Ability to provide presentations and workshops at an academic level high enough to earn CEUs at the clinical psychologist level

    • Minimum of three years of experience in a behavioral health setting (Preferred)

What you will do:

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, responsible for providing in-patient, out-patient, emergency room, immediate care and same day surgery patients with timely and accurate pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture, cash collection functions and medical information systems. Collects, analyzes and records demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data from multiple sources and obtains other information and signatures necessary for the above processes. Screens for third-party eligibility and enters medical necessity coding to ensure accurate payment is secured. Interacts in a customer-focused manner to ensure the needs of patients and their families are met and that they understand the hospital's revenue cycle expectations, including resolution of personal liabilities through various payment options.
