Job Description

Nidec is seeking an Immigration Specialist to play a crucial role in managing the complex process of obtaining visas, green cards, and citizenship. They will provide information, guidance and ensure compliance with company policies as well as immigration laws to obtain legal immigration for our employees.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and filing immigration applications and petitions, including H-1B, L-1, and permanent residency applications
  • Conduct research on immigration regulations and policies to ensure compliance
  • Support Nidec businesses and employees by answering immigration-related inquiries and providing timely updates on case statuses
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for each case in our internal systems
  • Collaborate with senior specialists and Nidec business stakeholders to develop strategies for complex immigration cases
  • Stay up to date on changing immigration laws and policies
  • Conduct research to determine the best pathway for specific immigration needs
  • Prepare and submit documents and applications on behalf of employees
  • Communicate with government agencies on behalf of employees

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Cultural sensitivity and a genuine interest in supporting employees in their international assignments.
  • Proficient knowledge of immigration laws, and employment laws in various countries.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, International Business, or a related field
