Estimated annual base pay: $64,800 (min) $80,100 (mid) $96,120 (max)

Are you ready to make your mark? The Operations Engineer 1 provides manufacturing expertise to solve difficult problems and continuously improve our manufacturing organization and/or supply base. Supports production from a technical standpoint.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Supports technical solutions
  • Recognizes problems that are beyond capabilities and is learning from the experts in the area
  • Supports new capital equipment purchases and implementation
  • Supports cell layouts and process improvement initiatives
  • General understanding of Six Sigma and lean tools to improve processes
  • General understanding of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) concepts and supports new product introduction
  • Represents the company with our customers
  • Supports updates to management on operations status
  • Learns the steps involved to incorporate process improvements
  • Supports the manufacturing floor for any process related questions
  • Creates and maintains process documentation and updates work order documentation
  • Supports implementation of basic engineering changes
  • Adheres to applicable Quality System requirements
  • Supports Process Flow Charts, PFMEA, and Control Plans
  • Learns from more senior Operations Engineers. May guide/direct Manufacturing Specialists.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Effective written/verbal communication skills, basic presentation skills
  • General Six Sigma knowledge; Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts
  • General Project planning tools
  • General troubleshooting and problem solving skills; General understanding of Root Cause Analysis
  • General computer and basic technical writing skills
  • General understanding of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) concepts and supports new product introduction
  • General understanding and ability to read electrical and/or mechanical machine drawings
  • Manufacturing Engineering - General understanding of applicable manufacturing processes; Ability to apply advanced knowledge of capabilities studies, Gage R&R, and machine capability; General understanding and ability to read product drawings
  • Industrial Engineering - General understanding of applicable manufacturing processes; Ability to apply advanced knowledge of capabilities studies, Gage R&R, and machine capability; General understanding and ability to read product drawings
  • Controls Engineering - General knowledge on database management software skills

Education:

  • US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)

Experience:

  • Internship in related industry
  • No professional experience required.

License & Certifications:

  • Professional certification
