Position Title: Quality Manager
Wage: $95,000 - $110,000/year Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions has a great opportunity available for a Quality Manager at a company in Rockford, IL. This is a direct hire position. Quality Manager Responsibilities: - Ensure quality management system complies with the current revisions of ISO 9001, AS 9100 and Nadcap standards - Prepare for, and lead, yearly ISO 9001, AS 9100 and Nadcap audits - Maintain document control on quality system procedures, quality instructions and forms - Manage quality team, ensuring quality control, periodic testing, lot testing and identification of non-conforming products - Ensure inspection personnel are trained in quality techniques, practices and procedures to conduct incoming, in-process and final inspection to meet customer requirements - Interact with, and maintains good relationships with, customers on incoming inspection defects, final inspection compliance and corrective action requests - Manage corrective action and preventive action systems - Work with customers on PPAP, First Article and APQP requests - Prepare and conduct quarterly management review meetings - Manage quality manual and update it on a as needed basis - Lead internal audit program by conducting audits, training auditors and addressing findings through corrective action for ISO 9001, AS 9100 and Nadcap compliance - Maintain calibration program for equipment that is used to monitor and measure processes and ensures that all equipment is within calibration dates - Assist management team with customer quality surveys, customer audits and responding to audit findings - Adhere to regulatory and environmental requirements - Conduct performance reviews of all direct reports Requirements for Quality Manager: - High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management or equivalent preferred - At least ten years of technical experience of which at least five years should be in quality administration and/or quality engineering - Previous history of managing and maintaining an ISO 9001, AS 9001, TS 16949 or Nadcap 7004 quality system - Knowledge of special processes, such as metal finishing, heat treating and NDT preferred - Ability to read and understand engineering prints, industry specifications and customer specifications - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, manufacturing software systems and have strong computer skills - Effective verbal and written communicator with good interpersonal skills to interact with direct reports, management, customers and suppliers - Ability to work on feet, spend significant time on production floor and lift up to 50 pounds |
