Information Systems Security Officer ISSO - 780TS

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Information Systems Security Officer - ISSO to support our customers with Cybersecurity Integration in the 96th Test Wing at Eglin AFB, FL.

Work Location: Onsite; Eglin AFB, FL

Job Status: Full-Time

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in an applicable discipline.

• 3-10 years experience; 3 years minimum direct experience in a similar role

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment.
• Cybersecurity support will require certifications such as Security+, Network+, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
• Must be DoD 8570.01- M compliant and Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), as required.
• Must have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance at the Secret level.
• Experience with security compliance, participating in the end-to-end process of obtaining an Authority to Operate (ATO) and the activities that must take place to maintain that authority
• Experience researching and making recommendations to the regulations, standards, and mandates for the operation of a secure information system
• Experience with information security, such as; identification of tactics, techniques, and procedures used by malicious actors to exploit the vulnerabilities and weaknesses of a given system and recommended remediation strategies
• In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.
• Ability to gain SAP Access
• **Other certification may be required based on constantly changing requirements

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

• Serve as an Information System Security Officer implementing security controls, perform ongoing maintenance and prevent, detect, analyze and respond to security incidents following the Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG)
• Follow information security policies, methods, standards, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA/National Institutes of Standard and Technology (NIST) standards and practices to organizational information systems, IT reference materials and interpret regulations
• Assist with conducting risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, rules, and protection needs tailored through the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
