We're looking for a passionate, detail-driven Electrical Systems Engineer to help shape the future of deep space missions. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse, mission-focused team, applying your expertise to create, refine, and deliver solutions that push the boundaries of possibility.

What You'll Do
  • Plan, develop, review, and maintain system requirements and verification plans.

  • Prepare materials for System Readiness Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), and Critical Design Review (CDR).

  • Identify risks, craft risk statements, and work with the team to plan effective mitigation strategies.

  • Perform and review system-level architecture trade studies and analyses to influence overall system design and performance.

  • Utilize requirements management and systems engineering tools such as DOORS, Cradle, or Jama.

  • Create and manage requirements from NASA programs down to contractor projects, ensuring full verification closeout.

  • Define and manage interfaces between subsystems.

  • Provide clear progress updates, escalate issues when needed, and maintain strong relationships with NASA customers and partners.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus 2-5 years of related experience.

  • Experience with NASA JSC flight hardware life cycle, certification, and engineering processes.

  • Strong communication skills for cross-discipline collaboration.

  • Background in Systems Engineering within NASA, DoD, or aerospace environments.

  • Proficiency in requirements management, verification/validation, design trades, risk analysis, and system analysis for space hardware.

  • Ability to prepare technical documentation and present in meetings.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of mechanical/electrical system design, engineering drawings, material selection, and design software/tools.

  • Familiarity with NASA/JSC and ISS safety, fault tolerance, and engineering standards.

  • Experience navigating NASA documentation databases and systems engineering tools.

  • Previous technical or team leadership experience.
