Genesis10 is currently seeking a QA/Accessibility Tester with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX. This is a 12 + month contract position. Responsibilities: Ensure that the client's web and mobile applications meet accessibility standards and provide an inclusive experience for people with disabilities Perform accessibility testing for web-based applications in Windows environments and native iOS mobile applications Validate compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and other applicable accessibility standards Use assistive technologies and testing tools such as JAWS, Dragon NaturallySpeaking, and screen readers to evaluate application accessibility Document accessibility issues clearly, providing detailed steps to reproduce and potential remediation suggestions Collaborate with developers, designers, and product teams to address and resolve accessibility defects Participate in accessibility reviews during the software development lifecycle to ensure accessibility is considered from the start Stay up to date on evolving accessibility regulations, tools, and best practices Requirements: Proven experience in accessibility testing for both web and mobile applications Strong understanding of WCAG guidelines, hands-on experience with accessibility testing tools, and a commitment to creating products that are usable by all customers Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 (or higher) standards and accessibility, best practices Proficiency in assistive technology tools including JAWS, Dragon NaturallySpeaking, and other screen readers Familiarity with accessibility evaluation tools and browser plugins Understanding of iOS accessibility features and guidelines Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate findings and recommendations Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills Desired skills: Experience in the financial or banking industry Knowledge of additional accessibility standards such as Section 508 or ADA requirements Certification in accessibility testing (e.g., IAAP CPACC, WAS) Pay range: $42.08 - $50.08 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
