Mid-level Full Stack Developer Job Description Precise Software Solutions, Inc., has an opportunity for a mid-level full-stack Angular/Django software developer. This position is remote. A qualified candidate must have or be able to attain a Public Trust clearance. Must be US Citizen, Green card holder, or EAD/GC. Position Summary In this collaborative, hands-on position, you will work with your Precise team, other companies and federal employees to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable, real-time systems. Responsibilities will include: Specific roles & responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Collaborate with business analysts, other developers, and test engineers on the team to produce high quality software that delivers business value and follows established design patterns and processes
- Can independently develop, code or modify, test, and debug application programs of varying degree of complexity
- Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
- Troubleshoot production problems within assigned applications software
- Assist less experienced staff in user specifications, coding, testing, and debugging
- Work with business users to develop and implement acceptance tests to ensure that product meets customer requirements and expectations
- Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards - Actively engage in process improvement initiatives
Skills Requirements:
- 2-5 years recent work experience as a Full-Stack Software Developer
- Strong proficiency in Angular for building dynamic, responsive single-page applications, with deep knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 (including preprocessors like SASS/LESS), and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Proven experience developing Python/Django back-end services, including authentication, ORM management, middleware integration, and performance tuning.
- Expertise in designing, documenting, and consuming RESTful APIs with a focus on security (JWT/OAuth2), scalability, and maintainability.
- Advanced Oracle SQL skills, including writing and optimizing complex joins, indexing strategies, stored procedures, and database normalization.
- Hands-on experience with AWSservices:
- EC2 - provisioning, configuring, and scaling virtual machines.
- S3 - managing object storage and integrating with applications.
- RDS (Oracle) - configuration, backups, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with IAM roles, security groups, and AWS CLI for deployment automation.
- Solid understanding of DevOps workflows:
- Jenkins - creating and maintaining automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
- CI/CD - implementing automated testing and deployment strategies to multiple environments.
- Strong experience with Git:
- Branching and merging strategies (Git Flow).
- Pull request workflows and peer code review.
- Resolving complex merge conflicts efficiently.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex application bugs across the front-end, back-end, and infrastructure layers.
- Experience mentoring junior developers, conducting code reviews, and contributing to coding standards and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design solutions independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for both front-end and back-end code.
- Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and rule engine processing
- Experience with developing detailed designs, optimizing code for performance and reliability, conforming to coding standards and continuous integration
- Experience in parallel development environment managing overlapping efforts impacting same function
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience working directly with customers to discuss their requirements and objectives
- Ability to prioritize, status, and multitask
- Familiar with Agile development methodology
