KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead teams in supporting quality disciplines, decisions, and practices.
- Manage, Lead and mentor quality assurance technicians fulfilling internal and external customer demands related to the QA process.
- Participate on new product launch teams (NPD) with Advanced Quality Planning; FMEAs and PPAPs.
- Lead the investigation, resolution and prevention of customer complaints and internal nonconformance's.
- Establish and drive effective corrective action plans.
- Lead in implementation of quality assurance plans, process controls, and CAPA systems designed to meet or exceed internal and external requirements.
- Provide statistical support for capability studies and process controls in an effort to establish/improve quality.
- Provide technical assistance to suppliers to assure resolution and elimination of issues.
- Assist in providing training in quality management system principals.
- Drive improvements to the Redwood City site's ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
- Lead the audit/assessment of policies and processes ensuring compliance with associated Chemelex policies and ISO requirements. Lead cross-functional teams to resolution of audit non-conformance and improvement.
- Track and report quality metrics and drive Action Plans to improve product and process quality.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and develop proposals for product related continuous improvement projects (i.e. Design Changes, Rework Process, Back-charge Decisions, etc).
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Engineering or Technical field, advanced degree preferred, and minimum 7 years of QA/QC experience in manufacturing /assembly environment
- Experience managing professional staff
- Experience managing an ISO 9001 QSM.
- Strong project management and leadership skills, including the demonstrated ability to lead multi-departmental project teams and resolve quality-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing Environment, helping to drive Lean improvements.

- Analytical thinking and problem solving.
- Ability to adapt rapidly to changes and function in a high stress, high pressure environment with a positive attitude.
- Proficient use with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, Windows, PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead and operate in a team based environment.
- Knowledge of MRP and material flow processes, e.g., SAP.
- Professional Quality Certifications and Credentials preferred, e.g. ASQ, SSBB, CQM, CQE, CQRE, Lead Auditor or similar.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Occasionally must be able to lift up to 20 lbs, pull, push, grab, bend, stoop or kneel. The ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time. Clearly and comfortably, view, interpret and process information within department. Use a computer monitor for extended periods, during normal working hours is required.
