About the Position:

General Dynamics Land Systems is seeking an experienced Endpoint Engineer to manage and maintain our endpoint devices using management tools like Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) or Intune, and other endpoint management solutions. The successful candidate will ensure the security, performance, and reliability of all endpoint devices while providing technical support and troubleshooting for end users.

Responsibilities to Anticipate/Expect:
  • Endpoint Management - Manage and maintain endpoint devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices, using management tools like MECM or Intune, and other endpoint management tools. - Ensure all devices are up-to-date with the latest policies, software, patches, and security updates.
  • Security and Compliance - Implement and enforce security policies and procedures for endpoint devices. - Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities related to endpoints. - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Software Deployment and Configuration - Deploy and configure software applications on endpoint devices. - Use automated tools for software distribution and configuration management. - Maintain software inventories and licensing compliance.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting - Provide technical support to end users for endpoint-related issues. - Troubleshoot hardware and software problems on endpoint devices. - Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams as needed.
  • Endpoint Monitoring and Performance - Monitor the performance and health of endpoint devices. - Identify and resolve performance issues to ensure optimal device operation. - Generate reports on endpoint performance and usage.
  • Endpoint Lifecycle Management - Manage the lifecycle of endpoint devices, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal. - Maintain accurate records of endpoint assets and configurations.
  • Collaboration and Communication - Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of endpoint devices. - Communicate effectively with end users to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Documentation and Training - Create and maintain documentation for endpoint management processes and procedures. - Provide training and guidance to end users on the proper use of endpoint devices and software.
  • Packaging/repackaging experience - Tools such as InstEd, AdminStudio - modify and transform MSI packages and create MST - Record and/or modify silent answer files (ISS)
  • Scripting Experience - tools such as batch, vbs, powershell - Wrap existing installers with addtional scripts to obtain desired behavior/result
  • Group Policy Experience - Active Directory Group Policy Management Console - Creation of new GPO's existing GPOs to posture endpoints for security compliance and functionality


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is highly desired, experience may be considered
  • 7 years of experience in endpoint management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with MECM, Intune, and other endpoint management tools.
  • Experience with operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android) and software deployment.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices related to endpoint security.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (i.e. a lawful permanent resident of the U.S.)


Additional Information:
  • Full-time on site position with occasional after-hours support as needed.
  • May require lifting and transporting endpoint devices.
