The salary range for this role, based in Louisville, is $26.00 to $30.00. The range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate'sexperience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Scope

Rabbit Hole Distillery is a state-of-the-art facility, nestled in Nulu, Louisville's hub of art, food, and culture, and invites you to come and witness our full whiskey-making process, craft cocktail bar, and curated retail offerings.

This will be an opportunity to join Kentucky's thriving Bourbon industry! This position reports to the Brand Experience Manager and is responsible for leading daily operations at our Brand Home.

Job Description - Operations Supervisor

The Rabbit Hole Distillery Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operation of the Brand Home, including serving as the daily floor lead and execution of public, VIP, and trade tours of the facility. This role is additionally responsible for providing operational oversight of our entire Visitor Experience including Retail and the Bar Program.

All Brand Home team members will report to this role. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing payroll and tip reporting as directed by the Brand Experience Manager.

Hourly Rate for this Role is $26-$30/hr and schedule is Tuesday-Saturday.

Roles & Responsibilities

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Have a clear understanding of and alignment to Rabbit Hole Brand, Culture and Core Values.
  • Lead Rabbit Hole Brand Home daily floor operations, serve as person in charge/point of contact when the Retail Manager, Events and Brand Experience Manager are off-site or unavailable.
  • Handles all customer inquiries and complaints coming into the Brand Home and directs them to appropriate parties.
  • Build and communicate the weekly Brand Home tour & events staffing schedule and distribute through appropriate channels, including ownership of the weekly All Teams Meeting on Wednesdays.
  • Maintains schedule and execution of on-and-off-site trade events as needed (these events may be after hours or different days of the week).
  • Delegate tasks among Brand Home Team to ensure all parts of the facility are being maintained daily.
  • Maintains back-of-house systems, ie product, retail, and operational inventory, including receiving, tracking, and merchandising stock from delivery to floor placement.
  • Conduct engaging tours and tastings of the distillery as needed, remain go-to team member for Brand Home team.
  • Be familiar with standard operating procedures and be trained in case of an emergency.
  • Completes administrative responsibilities within a timely fashion inside of the allotted office hours set by Brand Experience Manager.
  • Supports Brand Home retail operations and product movement as part of the overall Brand Home business.

Distillery Expertise

  • Understand the Rabbit Hole distilling process, key product benefits vs. competition and be able to passionately bring that to life for consumers.
  • Consistently research, train and remain updated on our portfolio of brands and the bourbon and American Whiskey category.

Business Analytics

  • Have broad marketplace understanding of the bourbon segment and competitive brands.
  • Marketplace understanding of Visitor Center Experiences on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
  • Understanding of business forecasting as it relates to the Rabbit Hole Distillery Brand Home.

Education & Experience

  • College degree preferred; previous experience in hospitality, marketing, or communication may substitute college degree.
  • 3 years Bourbon Tourism Experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous leadership or management experiences preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Extensive knowledge of spirits; wine and beer preferred.
  • Outgoing, charismatic personality, engaging public speaker.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to connect with a wide range of personalities; effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Excel).
  • Knowledge of Point-of-Sale software (e.g., Toast, AnyRoad, Shopify).
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
