We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to serve as a critical bridge between the Bloomberg Government product team and the government affairs market. In this role, you'll work closely with the Head of Bloomberg Government, drawing on deep expertise in the government affairs space, competitive landscape, and high-level relationships. By leveraging these insights and maintaining strong market engagement, you'll help ensure our product roadmap not only responds to customer needs, but anticipates what's next. This role requires someone with existing senior level relationships and working experience.
What you will do:
- Leads product strategy and execution for complex or high-impact initiatives. Drives alignment across departments and ensures the product roadmap supports long-term business growth and innovation.
- Mentors junior product managers and contributes to team development. Provides coaching on best practices, stakeholder management, and product thinking to elevate team performance.
- Owns the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to post-launch optimization. Implements feedback loops and continuous improvement processes to refine features and enhance user satisfaction.
- Collaborates with leadership to align product goals with company objectives. Translates strategic priorities into actionable product plans and measurable outcomes.
- Analyzes product performance and customer insights to inform decisions. Leverages analytics tools and A/B testing to validate hypotheses and guide feature iterations.
- Drives cross-functional initiatives and resolves complex trade-offs. Balances competing priorities by facilitating structured decision-making and stakeholder consensus.
- Champions the voice of the customer in all product decisions. Advocates for user-centric design by integrating qualitative and quantitative feedback into the development process.
- Develops business cases for new product investments. Quantifies potential ROI, market impact, and resource needs to support executive decision-making.
- 6+ years building and shipping successful technology-powered products as either a product manager, product designer, product delivery manager, engineer, data analyst, data scientist, or user researcher OR as a subject matter expert with product or technical proficiency.
- Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery.
- Experience driving product vision, building product roadmaps aligned with business goals, and defining and owning KPIs.
- Experience with testing, product metrics and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience designing and delivering impactful demos/prototypes to showcase vision to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured,data informed, written narrative.
- Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.
- Proven ability to engage with engineers, designers, stakeholders, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
