The Manager, Microsoft Solution Sales leads one or more Microsoft COE site teams that develop Microsoft solutions, agreements, and accelerate cloud adoption with Connection customers. Our Microsoft growth is focused on Cloud consumption (M365, Azure, and Security solutions) and expansion of cloud solutions with our customers. The team works strategically with Sales, Services, and other COE and company resources to include supporting Business Development Managers (BDMs) on their proactive selling techniques; partnering with internal and external stakeholders on Microsoft effective sales strategies and plan execution; coordinating training and certifications; and working closely with Sales, Sales Support and Product Management to maximize profitable Microsoft repeatable sales opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the assigned Microsoft COE site teams, defining strategy, coaching, and measuring the execution to develop Microsoft solutions, agreements, and accelerating cloud adoption with Connection customers. Understands individual development needs of each team member and helps develop their competencies. Consistently communicates with the team on strategies, initiatives, and changes.
  • Provides continuous feedback on performance, recommends development activities, conducts annual performance evaluations, develops and monitors goals, and implements improvement plans as needed.
  • Coaches and develops the Microsoft site team on business development and selling techniques to achieve sales goals and required consumption growth targets. Fosters strong alignment of their efforts and results with the overall direction, mission, and vision of Microsoft and Connection.
  • Supports other employee-related initiatives by responding to required actions. Ensures the timely and accurate processing of time management requests along with bi-weekly payroll submission.
  • Works closely with Team Leads and Microsoft COE leadership, to oversee the day-to-day Microsoft Solution Sales operations, including pipeline/deal management, monthly forecasting, fees management, direct monitoring, focused account development, customer issues, issue escalation, and system and procedural questions.
  • Partners with internal and external stakeholders on technical sales strategies and tactics. Plans execution of strategies. Fosters a partnership with Sales, services, and Microsoft support at each site.
  • Coordinates training and certifications for all team members with vendors and COE management. Proactively identifies and secures needed training for team and individuals.

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft solutions and business drivers from working with Microsoft customers.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft's lifecycle and renewals process for Enterprise Agreements, MPSA (Microsoft Products and Services Agreement), and Cloud Subscription Agreements.
  • Successful experience leading a sales and/or tech support team is highly desired.
