Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a PASRR Evaluator to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for PASRR evaluations, making level of care recommendations, and ensuring that the quality of care provided meets industry standards and complies with government regulations.

*This is a hybrid position within the state of Washington. There will be remote work along with field work that includes face to face assessments at hospitals and other nursing facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete accurate PASRR screenings, evaluations, and determinations through clinical assessment of the patient, relevant records, and collateral sources of individuals
  • Ensure accurate PASRR review completion by determining appropriate level of care based on the patient's physical, behavioral, and psychological functioning
  • Ensure compliance with necessary workflow, including re-review of records based upon input from the psychiatrist
  • Determine a clinical diagnosis accounting for psychological and behavioral issues
  • Utilize computer equipment and web-based software to conduct work
  • Interact with healthcare professionals, patients, their families, and internal partners as necessary
  • Develop level of care recommendations based upon clinical evaluations
  • Assess and analyze psychological, emotional, behavioral, and physical functioning
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Active unrestricted Washington State licensure as a psychiatrist, psychologist, psychiatric nurse, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP), or social worker such as Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), Registered Nurse (RN with master's degree in Psychiatric Nursing or relevant field)
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a Master's Degree in a relevant field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years' experience in the assessment and/or diagnosis of individuals with mental/psychiatric disorders, including complex differential diagnoses related to substance use, medical conditions, cognitive issues, and dementia
  • 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disability or related conditions
  • 1 year of experience with the geriatric population
  • Knowledge of Federal Regulation 42 CFR, Chapter 483
  • Knowledge of psychiatric disorders as defined by the most current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual in use in applicable state
  • Knowledge of standards of practice related to determination of Level of Care, mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, geriatrics, and other disorders typically requiring long-term care services and support
  • Medical record abstracting skills required
  • Knowledge of the organization of medical records, medical terminology, and disease processes required
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to communicate effectively to individuals and groups through spoken, written, and electronic media
  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner
