The Position

A challenging and engaging Sr. Laboratory Technician position is available in the Oligonucleotide Manufacturing Group for enthusiastic individuals with a scientific/technical background. The candidate will perform oligonucleotide purification using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF), analytical testing, and various other manufacturing procedures. Position offers excellent potential for long-term career growth.

The Opportunity
  • Performing oligonucleotide purification and characterization using technical instrumentation by following instructions outlined in production batch records and SOPs, while becoming proficient with complex equipment and processes.
  • Responding quickly to multiple and changing priorities, scheduling work effectively, and managing workload using inputs from business requirements, SAP, and/or internal customer needs.
  • Accurately recording methods, materials, and results in batch records according to established formats, maintaining documentation in accordance with procedures, and keeping the supervisor informed on project statuses and critical findings.
  • Handling hazardous materials and performing various manufacturing, testing, and production duties, including direct activities such as bulk formulation, filling, sub-assembly, sample testing, maintaining stock rooms, preparing buffers, and keeping laboratories stocked.
  • Monitoring lab supply inventory, generating purchase requisitions, and inputting production and work-output data into systems such as SAP or LIMS.
  • Ensuring laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration, and documentation conform to established practices while interfacing with internal groups as required.
  • Participating in training and contributing to the design and organization of experiments with supervisor guidance, providing input on experimental protocols, investigations, and reports, and serving as a resource to other staff.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of new procedures, evaluating new products and equipment, and helping to generate or improve written standard operating procedures.
Who You Are
  • You hold an Associate's degree in a Scientific field (Chemistry-related preferred) and 2-4 years of relevant experience. Equivalent mix of education and experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a Chemistry-related field. Basic proficiency with MS Word and Excel; Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills.

The expected salary range for this position based on New Jersey is 50,900.00 - 94,500.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
